If you are feeling fun and creative, this is the time to break out your medieval-inspired garb - tunics, chainmail, capes, etc. Costumes are entirely optional but very much encouraged if you're feeling silly. If you aren't sure don't worry about it! Dress in what you feel most comfortable.

For the wedding itself, we're asking for formal wear with a gothic-inspired twist. To be clear: no costumes for the wedding day, its formal attire but moody tones, fun textures, and dramatic silhouettes. TLDR: For men: suits & ties. For women: floor length dresses.

We will have shuttles running from the Rock Farm and Conyngham Arms Hotel starting at 1:30 PM. There will only be 1 shuttle service to the castle but starting at 9:30 PM we will have a shuttle making loops from the castle back to the hotel and farm.

Slane is about a 45-minute drive from Dublin Airport. Here are a few options: 1. Rent a Car If you're traveling with a few people, renting a car can be one of the most affordable options. On one of our previous trips, we paid about $250 for three days (including insurance), and splitting that between a few people made it pretty reasonable. A few things to keep in mind: Ireland drives on the left (it takes a little getting used to!). Roads around Dublin can be narrow and busy. Parking in Slane wasn't a problem for us, but accommodations generally don't have reserved parking. 2. Taxi or Rideshare (Uber, Free Now, or Lyft) We haven't personally taken a taxi from Dublin Airport to Slane, but we've been told it's a straightforward trip. Expect fares to be around €70–100. One recommendation: book your return trip back to Dublin or the airport in advance. Taxi availability is much more limited outside Dublin, and sharing a ride with other guests can help keep costs down. Public Transit For the adventurous travelers, there are bus routes from Dublin Airport to Slane that typically require a transfer in Drogheda.

Starting at 12:00 PM we will have a BBQ at the castle, and weather permitting, we will be outside playing Gaelic-inspired games. Regardless of weather we will play games and decompress! October in Ireland can be a bit unpredictable! In recent years it’s been sunny and in the 50s, but we’re planning for all possibilities. Weather permitting, many of our celebrations — including the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the day-after BBQ and games — will take place outdoors. That said, we have the entire castle exclusively for the weekend, so there’s plenty of space indoors if the weather decides not to cooperate. Either way, we’ll be celebrating in style!
