Traveling by car

The simplest option from Dublin Airport is to take a taxi or rideshare, which will get you to Slane in about 40 minutes. Renting a car is also possible, but keep in mind that Irish roads can be narrow, winding, and a bit unpredictable if you’re not used to them!

Traveling by plane

We recommend flying into Dublin Airport — it’s just 40 minutes from Slane and has many direct flights from the U.S., with even more cities adding nonstop options. To get the best fares, it’s a good idea to set a flight alert for our wedding weekend so you can snag lower prices and quicker routes when they pop up.

Taxi, Uber, Free Now, Etc.

We haven't personally taken a taxi from Dublin Airport to Slane, but we've been told it's a straightforward trip. Expect fares to be around €70–100.

One recommendation: book your return trip back to Dublin or the airport in advance. Taxi availability is much more limited outside Dublin, and sharing a ride with other guests can help keep costs down.
